Low Price Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board
So, after 5 days playing and getting exercises with my Wii Fit Plus (from now on WFP), I think I am ready to write a review, I will try to make it short but useful as possible. (English is not my native language, you will notice immediately).
First, about me:
I do not go to the gym (have tried but don't get used to), nor do exercises, or run... but I do move around a lot because of my job, I work on the field, so I have to walk a lot, also I do eat consciously, from December 2008 to nowadays I have lost 15 lbs and was decided to not go back.
So I was looking at Wii Fit this summer, and knew about WFP and decided to wait. Meanwhile, I was on the blogs, the forums, online videos, about people experience about this game, and I wanted to get fit and have fun.
Then, I got WFP:
I explored the games, the routines, I was doing my daily body tests, I am true about this and I want to get fit. At the end of the second day with WFP, I felt the lack of exercises in my body, for example the Rhythm Kung Fu, some think this mini game is lame, but my biceps were hurting, probably because of the fast move of the arms forward. The Jack-knife made my abs to shake, I was amazed about how weak I was, when I try to hold a pose and start shaking after 10 seconds, I struggle to keep the poses because I know it is working out my body; I feel it, a start to a better life, so, if you are true about this game, pardon, "Investment", you will feel the work out.
Game play review:
The game fits my needs; I have a wide variety of choosing how and where I want to work out. Example I can choose a category of exercises to work my arms, abs, legs, etc. Also I can combine those to avoid interruption, and the best of all for me, I can select how long I want to work out, 10 minutes, 15, 30... and the game will arrange the exercises to fit that time, in any of Yoga, Yoga & Strength, or Strength only category, and as you do the poses, the game will put a checkmark on it and continue, so you will "carpe diem" that time as much as possible.
About the balance board:
I notice immediately something was not right about my weight according to WFP, so I compared my weight on the balance board to a professional scale (you know, like one of those the doctors have on their office), the scale is calibrated correctly, 1 litter of water is exactly 1 kg, since the weight I get from the pro scale is as I am, with my cloths on (unless I want to weight without cloths, then I will have to weight without cloths on the balance board, that would be the more accurate weight of your body), I chose a cero lb discount (the part where I am asked to select the weight of my cloths), and I did the numbers, and found out and offset of 3 pounds, exactly 3 pounds, my balance board is measuring 3 pounds lower than real weight, and I use the balance board on hard floor, so I do not need the leg extensions.
Other than that, it is very sensitive and does the job... oh! by the way, you will need a yoga mat if you work on hard floor, as some poses requires you to bend on your knees, and if your hands are sweating, or your feet, you will slide off, so get a yoga mat for extra grip and soften bones/floor contact.
So, that's it, my final review, invest on WFP, do not get it just for the games, they do work you out, but I think this game is targeted to do the fit exercises (Yoga and Strength), after your routine, play some mini games to "carpe diem" your daily use of WFP, as those counts too towards your kcal goal (or Cal, with capital C) and time spent.Get more detail about Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board.
Save Limited-Edition Wii Sports Resort Bundle with Two Wii MotionPlus
Wii Sports Resort is a great cold-weather activity for my kids, and you can't beat the value for this bundle with two Wii MotionPlus adapters. If you value each MotionPlus at $20, then you get the Sports Resort game for only $17! We use this game almost every night for our 2 girls, age 7 and 4-1/2, to get them up off the couch and moving around after dinner, rather than just watching TV.
My 4-1/2 year old loves Wakeboarding the most, because she was able to figure out how to do very high jumps pretty quickly. She also likes skydiving, flying around in a plane, and dog frisbee. My 7-year-old likes many of the sports, but her particular favorites are swordfighting, archery, and frisbee golf. I'd buy the game just for frisbee golf, actually. My 7-year-old is surprisingly competitive in frisbee golf against me and my father, because you don't have to hit a small target - you just have to throw the frisbee within a yard of the hole to get it in. Many of the games are loads of fun for my girls to compete against each other, against their friends, or against me and my wife.
Also, even though many of the games are somewhat simplistic, we get lots of repeated play by seeing which of us has the high-score crown at any time. The game awards a high score crown for every sport, and at every difficulty level, so each of my girls can have multiple high scores simultaneously. Whenever any of them gets a new crown, they even make me take a picture of them standing next to the crown. You also get various awards (stamps) for accomplishing certain things, like becoming a pro or passing the 10th or 20th swordfighting level, which gives the girls something to shoot for after they master the basic game controls.
This game has continued to be played almost every day in our house since it was released in July, and the girls have not gotten bored of it yet. With the addition of the two MotionPlus adapters, I recommend that every Wii owner purchase this bundle!Get more detail about Limited-Edition Wii Sports Resort Bundle with Two Wii MotionPlus.
Discount PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller
I love the color red that SONY has put on this controller, however, it fells a lettel bit heaver than the controller that came with my SONY PLAYSTATION 3 80GB, which is good. So, I would recommend this controller to any one that is looking for a new controller for there system, or that they are purchasing this controller to have a second person to play head to head on most games.Get more detail about PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller.
Cheapest PlayStation 3 120 GB
Perfect time to own a PS3. This is so much more convenient that the previous version, basically no downsides at all other than lack of backwards compatibility. Get more detail about PlayStation 3 120 GB.
Cheap Wii MotionPlus
I purchased the motion sensor for my second remote along with the Wii Sports Resort Game. I love the game and I think the motion sensor does make the remote more sensitive. This is a great feature, but I realized the original remotes gave me a false sense of the ability to win :-) I totally recommend it.Get more detail about Wii MotionPlus.
Buying Wii Nunchuk Controller
When I first got a Wii people told me that I wouldn't need 2 nunchucks because they hardly ever used them but I quickly found that if you want to do boxing 2-player or play really fun games, like lego indiana jones, or lego batman, you need at least 2 nunchuks. They are def worth the buy!Get more detail about Wii Nunchuk Controller.
Buy Wii Remote Controller
As a original component for Wii, that is surely the best option, for Wii players.Get more detail about Wii Remote Controller.

Order Wii Fit Plus
When the original Wii Fit was released, I found it to be enjoyable and good for light exercise, but I thought there were some obvious--and seemingly simple to add--features missing. Most notably, I wanted to be able to customize a workout without having to select exercises one at a time. My primary interest in Wii Fit Plus was therefore due to the customizable workouts.
As others have mentioned, there are 15 new games/exercises that are grouped under a new category called "Training Plus". I have found them to be pretty good overall; some are fun, some are good exercise, some are both (I especially like the Obstacle Course and Island Cycling). There are three new Yoga exercises and three new Strength exercises; honestly I haven't even looked at them since they were not a strong selling point for me.
There is a "locker room" available in which you can choose pre-programmed routines, which are generally three exercises of a 6-8 minute duration in all that are targeted towards a specific goal (Warm Up, Relaxation, Hips, Arms, etc.). These can be combined but not further customized.
You can create your own routine under "My Routine" within the locker room as well, and as that was my primary interest, I will elaborate. You can choose any combination of strength and yoga exercises; the total minutes will be calculated for you. Once you begin the routine, the Wii will automatically cycle you through your exercises one after another. This can reduce the total time spent dramatically; for example, suppose you want to follow the Push Up/Side Plank with the Jackknife. Before, you'd finish the first exercise, grab the remote and press A several times while getting your score, ranking, feedback, encouragement, etc., etc. Then you'd select the other exercise, get out of the floor and stand on the board for a few seconds, and then get back down in the floor. Now, you just wait in the floor while the second exercise loads. MUCH faster, and with enough exercises in a row you actually can feel like it's a real workout. I would estimate that doing 30 minutes of activity now takes 5-10 minutes less of actual elapsed time.
However, there are still some obvious flaws with the new implementation. First, you can only select strength and yoga exercises; no balance games, no aerobics, none of the 15 new Training Plus modules. Second, you can only have one exercise routine per Mii. If you want an upper body workout and a lower body workout separately, you're out of luck. Finally, you are defaulted to the minimum number of reps, and you can't change that. If you select Jackknife, you're doing 10. Ditto for lunges. Push Ups? You'll do 6. I can't imagine that it would have taken much effort to allow that extra level of customization.
I like the Wii Fit Plus overall, and I think it was worthwhile. But, the fifth star would've been so easy to earn from me, and it came up short. Get more detail about Wii Fit Plus.
Where To Buy Halo 3: ODST
This is a good expansion pak but like many reviews it's not worth the price it is. it should have been a downloadable content game like gta4. the new visr mode is cool but if master chief's suit was more advanced than the odst's why didn't he have it. instead he's got an ancient flashlight i thought they were five hundred years in the future. but it's also good to have light.
The new fire fight is cool i guess bungie added that to make up for the price.
One thing i found very annoying was the fact that i purchased the map packs on xbox live and this odst game includes them.
The campaign is worth playing.Get more detail about Halo 3: ODST.

Shop For Wii
Let me start this off by saying I've always been a fan of Nintendo. I grew up playing the original NES, loved the SNES, had over 20 games for N64...and then Nintendo started to be a let down with the Gamecube. Yes the gamecube had some quality titles, but were the handful enough to justify owning the system? Not for me. When the Wii came out I was VERY skeptical and had a feeling I'd end of passing it up. Well after some more consideration I thought it might be something fun for me and my wife to play (before I sound too old here, note I'm in my 20's). After weeks of searching hard to track down the Wii I finally managed to buy one.
The system started out fun, I enjoyed playing Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, etc. Basically the system had those typical quality first part Nintendo titles. Flash forward and Mario Kart was released and was definitely interesting to play, though personally I preferred the control precision offered with an analog stick and not the wheel. After about 6 months more of the system sitting around collecting dust I kept searching and searching for quality Wii games...they were no where to be found. Yes the system has some great titles, but once again just a small handful like the gamecube did. It seems 96% of what's released on the system are poorly thrown together mini games that score 4.0-6.0 ratings and just flat out suck. I can't tell you how many times I stopped to look at the Wii games in Electronics only to be disappointed time after time with what's available. Overall Nintendo is *STILL* lacking quality third party titles.
Graphics completely aside, all this time while the Wii was sitting I was getting tons of use out of the PS3 with many great titles. To me the Wii isn't quite the bargain everyone makes it out to be. Just because the initial system purchase seems small does *NOT* mean the overall cost of ownership is. I spent just as much money on the Wii as I did my PS3 once you factor in grabbing a couple controllers / other shells needed for games. That is the whole point of the system right...to play with other people and have fun? Nintendo makes a KILLING on remotes for this thing. Sure..$199 for the system with the price drop, plus $40 for another WiiMote + 20 dollars for another Nunchuck...oh but wait now there's "Wii motion plus" ok another 20 dollars for each controller you own. These costs add up very fast.
Nintendo also seems to enjoy crippling their own services. So they offer all those games via the Wii Shopping channel, the games that you can only put on a 512mb internal storage or 2gb SD card...are you kidding? In the day in age where you can get 8gb flash drives for $29, 4gb microsd cards the size of your pinky for $13...I think Nintendo could of offered a better means of giving us storage for the games. Personally to me, the Wii is NOT worth the $250 it was launched for and still isn't worth the $199 it's now selling for. When you look at what the console is capable of doing in comparison to it's competition it's nowhere even close and I don't mean just graphically. Both the 360 and the PS3 offer tremendously more features. Yes the Wii has the motion sensing controller but it seems very few developers make good use of it and even the games that do make interesting use of it..you still lose precision more often than not over a standard (and much more comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions) controller.
It also really annoys me that other than the games running at a max of 480p resolution, Nintendo offers no means of improving what old titles look like. Both the 360 and PS3 offer smoothing effects and also use anti aliasing to clean up the older titles and make them a lot clearer / more vivid. It amazes me that even the most poorly written emulators on the PC (sorry not illegal when I own the old systems / games) offer screen smoothing, anti aliasing, etc to make the games look SO much better, yet Nintendo doesn't do this!
I realize hardware isn't everything, but it is nice to feel immersed in a game with gorgeous graphics and detailed sound. Yes the Wii is selling good, it seems quite popular among families, that's great. For myself, I sold it and recently bought the Holiday Bundle Xbox 360 elite. It's already got more playtime than my Wii had in a year of owning it...sorry Nintendo but this was my last let down system from you! Get more detail about Wii.
