Great game.. too short. (2009-03-09)
game play simple and addictive
animation and cut scenes were well done.
music score fit well and was only a little repetitive. (much better than @#%^%ing Crayon Physics)
Having played it on the PC I wonder if it might have been more fun on the Wii with different controls. If your unsure try the demo first. I don't feel like I over paid for this game.. but I think that the game could have been longer and a little more complex.
On a side note. I install the game in Wine and beat it before the native Linux version was released. Linux version is available on their website.
Perfect for kids, fun for Dad, too (2009-03-09)
The kids are having a great time with this game. They're working together to solve the scenarios, giggling the whole time. Very clever game.
Most unique game EVER! A+++ (2009-03-08)
i have owned a Nintendo Wii for almost 2 years now and stopped using it after the first week. now i use it every day with this game. it is by far the coolest game ever. i give it a+++++++ and i hope the guys who created this game make another one like it. its the only reason i use my wii anymore. DEF recommend!
Absolutely fabulous, you must give it a try (2009-03-08)
I downloaded the demo over the Christmas holidays and happily showed it off to my family. The next week I bought a copy from 2D Boy (support the devs, indie DRM-free game!) and my wife has been enjoying it ever since. She just recently beat it and immediately felt the withdrawal. ;)
The music, the physics, and the level design are all superb and vary greatly from one act to the next. We're eagerly awaiting the sequel! :D
Cute, engaging game (2009-03-03)
Goo is very cute, not violent, and full of all sorts of edge-of-your-seat, problem solving excitement. It's deceptively easy at first, but gets harder quickly.
One of the negative reviews mentioned that the soundtrack was annoying. It's impossible to argue with taste, but I enjoy the mildly epic quality of the music. It supports the feeling that you're not just having fun or solving a puzzle, but actually engaged in some great and benevolent work. Well, maybe that's selling it a little hard, but I think the music works.
